A quick note of reminder for those looking for an extended battery...

1) craigslist and ebay...you're buying at your own risk.  Batteries can be tricky...and you should remember that saving 20 bucks on craigslist may not be worth that $500 device that you own.

2) Expansys and Seidio are a couple of different online cell accessory stores that have good recommendations thus far.

3) Majority of extended batteries will require you to use "THEIR" battery door making your TP looking pregnant and bulky.  There are some that can fit under the current hood, but the extended life may NOT be worth the money that you'll be spending.

4) Consider that if you buy an extended battery AND you don't mind the extra bulk...not too many cases will accommodate your now pregnant TouchPro.

5) IT IS NORMAL that your battery life is short relative to a regular cell phone.  Most smart devices have poor battery life...unfortunately, the Touch Pro's is on the short end of that stick.

6) There are hacks, registry edits and systems settings that can prolong your TouchPro's battery life.
a- search the forum for that info
b- search PPC Geeks and XDA developers as well.

Just a word to the wise...

I purchased two batteries for $20 on eay from ebay id otakugarden, item description Battery x2 for Sprint HTC Touch pro T7272 O2 Diamond

Guess what? 2 batteries for $20 was too good to be true! The seller claimed they work for HTC fuze's but not Sprint Touch Pro. I'm not aware of any difference as far as the battery is concerned, so I think he's full of it. But in any case, my $$ was refunded in full (thanks to a paypal dispute). And to be fair, I did purchase a couple of 3.5 mm audio adapters from the same seller that work fine.

Just as my laptop battery is not expected to last forever, I dont expect this to either. Besides phone is usually USB to computer or car charger. And as stated, for $500.00, $39.00 a year is a good deal to me!

I have used some of the reg hacks mentioned to try and squeeze more life out of the battery, but honestly, I think the best thing I did was download the "one touch" Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on/off hacks.

Bluetooth: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-bluetooth-toggle.html
Wi-Fi: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-aktogglewifi.html

I love these because I can put them in the start menu and click them as needed. Smiley

Since my phone is on USB when at work (unless I am in a meeting), Charging when at home or on the cradle/charger in the truck, I never really ran into power issues. Smiley

Hope this helps!

Talderon,

Go here: http://www.htcfuze.org/third-party-touch-pro-software-rss/nuedynamicclock-and-nueclockspeed/ and get nueDynamicClock.

Forum member xmisfitx found and tested with Mick300ZX. I have gotten good results with my battery.

Additionally, this must be installed on the phone, not the card!!

I used the perferred settings in that thread. You might have to tweak it and play with it. My bettery issue is, Im constantly playing with my Fuze so it never really sleeps.
