Ok so i had my screen fixed by htc and it was free it just took a week or 2 but when i try to call somebody i can't even hear it ring.  The only way i know i am connected to somebody is when it vibrates to tell me they answered.  I know that the other person can hear me fine but i cant hear anything on the fuze.  Is there some setting that i am not thinking of or is something else going on?

Have you check the sound and notifications settings?

OK, what 300 said, but I'm totally lost (easy to do, im always lost) with this.

OK, when you dial you do not hear it ring? This happens to me also sometime. I might dial a number and it could be 10 seconds before the phone actually dials. Then if the other person answers quickly (one ring) I never hear the ring.

You state the other person can hear you, but you cannot hear them? This is a totally seperate issue. I would try speaker phone after the call and/or bluetooth.

Are you running the stock rom?  I am trying to remember and I think that when you press the volume control on the side of the Fuze in the stock rom, there are two separate catagories. One is phone and one is system.  Just make sure that neither one of them is set to silent.

I want to make sure that I completely understand.
You have checked and your Fuze is not set to silent.
It will not ring but you answer calls when it vibrates.
People can hear you speaking but you cannot hear them.

Your loudspeaker isn't working because you cannot hear the Fuze ringing and your internal speaker isn't working because you can't hear anyone speaking.  It is rare for both to go out at once  like that. If you have checked all the settings as directed and the above is the case, something is very odd and I would send the Fuze back to HTC.  Perhaps something was left unconnected during the repair.

Sorry for the late reply.  What i ended up doing is just sending it back to htc.  Not only was it not making sound but the backspace button on the actual slide out keyboard was not working properly so as of right now i still have this pos loaner phone that i have had for almost a month total already.  I appreciate all of yalls help and hopefully i won't have any more issues.

Hope it works out for you.  I just had some bad experiences with Fuze repairs.  However, my repairs were not warranty and were not done by HTC.

They were done by a qualified Heart Doctor if I recall?

You were definitely right about bad experiences with fuze repairs.  I just got the phone today and couldn't test it at the store because the battery was dead but once i got back home i tried it out and the once thing they fixed on it was the loudskeaker.  i still can not hear through it normal and the volume is all the way up needless to say im pretty pissed Angry . but they said that if it is still broke they will file an insurance claim thing and get me a free phone so i guess thats better than nothing.  I have been without my fuze for about 7 weeks so i was really looking forward to having it but o well.

Knock on wood, I have never had to get my phones repaired. In my time here, I have only seen 2 successful repairs. Talderon ordered something and repaired his own phone twice. I think 300ZX might have done it once. If, by chance, something happens to my phones, I would pay one of them double then trust a chop shop. Just my Opinion.

Dwhitt, Best of luck on that insurance claim!  I hope that HTC will honor it and that you get your new Fuze.  A new phone will be better than a repair any day.

My repair was not done by HTC, but by a cellphone repair shop.  I had to wait over 3 month for a part that was on back order.

I got so tired of being without a Fuze that I bought a used one on eBay.  Would you beleive that after less than two weeks, the LCD screen went on that one?  (Lesson here: Be care buying used cell phones.)

I sent the second one out for repairs and got it back sooner than the first.  There is a big difference between the loudspeakers on these two Fuzes.  The speaker in my original Fuze is far superior; the one in the second Fuze is muffled and distorted.

However, I continue to use the second Fuze because even after sending my original one back 3 times for repairs, it still has many glitches and problems.  I'll deal with muffled sound instead.

I stick by my original statement, I would pay you before I google some company! Same with here, I would ask a question here before I call AT&T!
