Ah, apparently not. It's a slightly older laptop. Oh well, I guess USB all the way!

I am with Hercules on this. I had the same problem since my laptop's card reader was non-sdhc so I ended up buying a usb to sdhc card reader and used the micro sd adapter in that. In fact the first time I put it in my digital camera which supports SDHC as a means to transfer files.

Hey guys, new to the forum!
Props to BRTLATJGT for the 8gb find. Would anyone know where to get a cheap 16gb card? And, would any brand work fine with it? anyone have any problems with a certain brand before...

I was looking for MY memory thread, but bring the to the front of the list will do. There are a number of places to get a cheap card. I have a 16Gb SanDisk that was a little over $100.00. Before that I had 16Gb one from another place that was $49.00. 2 completely different cards trust me.

The SanDisk, Although Class 2, is easily 4 times faster than other card!!!! It's so noticeable I did not need a benchmark test.

Talking to my friends in Sweden, UK, and Sydney. I want to be first with 32GB and it normally hits Europe before America!!!
